Introduction

For this winning event honoring Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki, we planned, coordinated, and implemented the entire production. Working closely with the Mavericks organization and local authorities, we created an unveiling that scored big with fans and players alike.

Description

Celebrating a slam dunk of a career

Held on December 25, 2022, outside the American Airlines Center, this statue unveiling celebrated Dirk Nowitzki's 21-year legacy with the Dallas Mavericks. The 13-foot statue, sculpted by Brad Oldham, immortalizes Nowitzki's iconic one-legged fadeaway jumper. Attended by Nowitzki's family, former teammates, coaches, and NBA legends, the ceremony was a testament to his greatness. We worked closely with the Mavericks organization, the City of Dallas, and local authorities to ensure the event complied with all necessary regulations and guidelines. Oldham was also involved in the collaboration to ensure the statue was properly installed and lit for the unveiling. Corporate Magic’s careful planning and follow-through created a tremendous event honoring Nowitzki’s contributions to basketball and the Dallas community.
