A tribute to America’s highest military honor
Our challenge was to create a grand opening event worthy of the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of Medal of Honor recipients. Years in the making, the remarkable “Mission to Inspire Spectacular” featured 360-degree storytelling with fireworks, musical and video performances, and live programming that thrilled the assembled crowd. The drone show illuminated the sky with iconic symbols of American patriotism, from Old Glory to Abraham Lincoln to a glowing Medal of Honor. Most importantly, 32 living Medal of Honor recipients were on hand, shaping the atmosphere in a way no production element ever could. Former President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, the U.S. Navy Commodores Band, and leadership from the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation all participated in the ceremony, making the day truly historic.
A ceremony that resonated across the globe
Thousands witnessed the event in person, from the dignitaries at the center of the celebration to the families watching from blankets and lawn chairs. People from across the world watched as the show streamed live on multiple platforms. Together, we recognized the valor of Medal of Honor Recipients and the 40 million Americans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. It was an awe-inspiring beginning for a museum that will continue to share the stories of these heroes for years to come.
