Working together on the statue project was Nowitzki’s mentor, Holder Geschwindner, and sculptor Omri Amrany. This collaboration successfully captured Nowitzki’s legacy and his impact on Dallas. Moreover, the statue’s base features the theme “Loyalty never fades away,” a fitting tribute to Nowitzki’s unwavering dedication and commitment to the Mavericks.

Corporate Magic, a Dallas-based event production company renowned for working with major corporations like Coca-Cola, IBM, and others, collaborated to create an unforgettable ceremony for Nowitzki’s family, friends, and season ticket holders. Stephen Dahlem, the company’s Senior Creative Director, played a crucial role in providing creative direction, focusing on themes of loyalty and dedication.

Coincidentally, the ceremony occurred on the 11th anniversary of the team’s only Christmas home game during the lockout-delayed 2011-12 season, marking the start of their NBA championship defense. This event celebrated Nowitzki’s legacy and his impact on the Mavericks and Dallas.
