Leading up to Super Bowl XLV, a series of high-profile concerts brought together world-renowned performers, football legends, and community leaders in a celebration of music, sports, and North Texas pride.
DALLAS, Texas — September 11, 2010 — A series of major concert events supporting the build-up to Super Bowl XLV brought internationally recognized performers, community celebrations, and charitable fundraising efforts to North Texas in advance of the championship game at Cowboys Stadium.
Produced by Corporate Magic in partnership with the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee, the concert series was designed to celebrate several significant milestones leading up to Super Bowl XLV, including the Dallas Cowboys’ 50th anniversary season, Emmitt Smith’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and North Texas’ role as host of one of the world’s most-watched sporting events.
The series featured performances by Grammy Award-winning artists Faith Hill, Sting, and Tim McGraw, with each event serving as both a celebration and a fundraiser supporting Super Bowl-related charitable and community initiatives throughout the region.
The culminating concert took place at Cowboys Stadium on September 10, 2010, where Tim McGraw headlined a large-scale production attended by tens of thousands of fans. The event combined live music, video storytelling, orchestral performance, and special tributes into a unique celebration of football, music, and North Texas culture.
Corporate Magic worked closely with the Host Committee, the Dallas Cowboys, and numerous production partners to develop and execute the concert experience. The production included a custom video and orchestral tribute to the history of the Dallas Cowboys, celebrating the franchise’s legacy from its earliest seasons through the modern era.
A highlight of the evening was a special recognition of Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith, whose induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame represented a major milestone during the Cowboys’ 50th anniversary season. The tribute combined archival footage, music, and live presentation elements to honor Smith’s contributions to the organization and the sport.
The production also featured a performance of the national anthem by legendary pianist Van Cliburn, appearances by Dallas Cowboys leadership, and an indoor fireworks spectacular that helped transform the stadium into a concert venue unlike any other.
Music for the Cowboys tribute segments was performed by the University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra, which appeared as the XLV Symphony Orchestra for the event. Custom video content developed for the production showcased the history of the franchise through six decades of memorable moments, iconic players, and championship seasons.
For Corporate Magic, the concert series demonstrated the company’s ability to combine live entertainment, large-scale production, broadcast-quality storytelling, and audience engagement to create experiences that extend beyond the event itself.
The series helped build excitement throughout the region in the months leading up to Super Bowl XLV while creating lasting memories for fans, community leaders, sponsors, and visitors from across the country.
